Each BYA day has 5 periods adding up to a 25 period week. The school day begins at 8.20 am, and ends at 2.50 pm. The pattern of the day is:
- 8:05 am - 8:20 am: School is open for breakfast
- 8:20 am: The school gate is closed and students should be making their way to their form rooms ready to start the day. Any student arriving after 8:20 am will be classed as late.
- 8:20 am - 8:55 am: Registration
- 8:55 am - 9:55 am: Period 1
- 9:55 am - 10:55 am: Period 2
- 10:55 am - 11:15 am: Break
- 11:15 am - 12:15 pm: Period 3
- 12:15 pm - 1:15 pm: Period 4
- 1:15 pm - 1:45 pm: Lunch
- 1:45 pm - 2:50 pm: Period 5 & Reflection for the Day
Total School Hours: 32 hours 30 minutes per week.
