On 19th and 20th March 2024, we welcomed Ofsted into our school, and are delighted to now share that we secured a GOOD rating in every judgement area. This is a milestone moment for our school. To make the progress that we have is remarkable, and it is right that we recognise the support we have received from so many parents, the dedication and commitment of our staff and, above all else, how well our brilliant students have adapted to new expectations and grasped all the opportunities on offer.
As you will see from the report, Ofsted found that our school has “high expectations”, students can access “a richer, more ambitious curriculum” and there is an “inclusive and accepting environment” that helps to “raise pupils’ aspirations of what they can achieve”.
In addition, inspectors also found that students “produce work of a high standard”, staff have access “to high-quality training”, there are “effective systems” for children with additional needs and they “are well supported”, and that “bullying of all kinds is rare.”
There, of course, remains work to be done. This outcome is just the start of our next chapter, not the end of the story. We will continue to address the areas we already knew needed further strengthening and will use this report as the platform to continue on the very positive trajectory that we are on.
