The Eco-Schools programme, established in 1994, has been inspiring young environmentalists for over 30 years. It has grown into a global movement, with Eco-Schools Green Flag accreditation awarded to schools in more than 100 countries. In England alone, the programme reaches over 1 million young people each year, empowering them to make a positive impact on our planet.
This recognition celebrates our commitment to sustainability and pupil-led environmental action.


At the heart of our success is our vibrant Eco-Committee, made up of enthusiastic students and supported by four dedicated staff members. Together, we’ve created a culture where environmental action is not just a project - it’s part of who we are. Students across the school are stepping up with ideas, energy and ownership, making sustainability exciting and shared.

Strong Leadership & Collaboration: Our Eco-Committee ensures diverse voices and ideas, while adult guidance provides continuity and depth.
Strategic Action: Our Environmental Review forms the foundation of our Action Plan, ensuring every goal addresses real needs.
Social Responsibility: From foodbank collections and donation drives to creative fundraisers, we connect sustainability with kindness and global citizenship.
Innovative Learning: Using a thoughtful, values-led approach we challenge students to look beyond headlines environmental issues and engage with the layered impacts of human activity, encouraging critical thinking about environmental and economic impacts - inspiring students to imagine sustainable alternatives.
