School Attendance Panel Meeting

School Attendance Panels (SAP) are formal meetings held in school where we work collaboratively with you and your child to provide the support needed to getting them to attend all day, every day, all the way through their school career.  The SAP will be led by a member of staff in the academy.

The meeting will cover the following:

• Current patterns of absence and attendance
• What barriers/issues face your child in attending all day, every day, all the way through their school career
• What home are doing to support better attendance habits
• What school can do to support you as a family and your child as an individual.

The meeting will result in 3-4 targets being set. These will aim to help your child to build better habits for attendance.
