BYA Celebrates Success at the Leeds Global Learning Awards

Despite the soaring temperatures during the recent heatwave, four members of our Eco Committee, accompanied by Mrs Clarke, proudly represented BYA at the Leeds Global Learning Awards – and returned with fantastic achievements to celebrate.

We are delighted to announce that BYA won the 'Global Inequalities in the Curriculum' award, recognising our commitment to helping students understand global issues and develop a broader perspective of the world around them.

In addition, we received Highly Commended awards in two further categories:

Antiracism and Intercultural Dialogue
Decolonising the Curriculum

These accolades are a testament to the dedication, creativity and hard work of our staff, who continually strive to deliver an inclusive, engaging and thought-provoking curriculum. Their commitment ensures that global perspectives, equality and diversity remain at the heart of learning at BYA.

We are incredibly proud of everyone involved and would like to thank the students and staff whose passion and effort have contributed to this success.

Congratulations to all – a fantastic achievement for our school community! 🎉🏆👏
