Next Gen Leaders

Fifteen of our Year 9 students took part in the NextGenLeaders Project Development Day at Pudsey Civic Hall on Thursday 22nd January 2026, joining peers from across Yorkshire to explore how young people can make a positive impact in their local communities.

The programme, designed to help students develop sustainable, community‑focused projects, offered a full day of interactive workshops centred on critical thinking, innovation, and project planning. Participants also heard from a motivational guest speaker from Leeds who successfully launched their own business after securing investment on the television programme Dragons’ Den. Their story offered students valuable insight into turning an idea into a viable enterprise.

Throughout the day, students collaborated with other schools and engaged with business representatives from across the region, gaining both inspiration and practical skills to advance their own project ideas. The event provided an exciting platform for young people to build confidence, share perspectives, and strengthen their ability to create meaningful change.
