A proud moment for BYA!
Yesterday we made a little bit of history as BYA took part in our first ever weightlifting competition, hosted by the Grammar School at Leeds and the boys were fantastic.
Events like this show the real power of sport. Weightlifting gave our pupils the chance to challenge themselves, build confidence, and discover something they truly enjoy. Finding their thing is what school sport is all about.
Staff at GSAL were incredibly complimentary about our pupils, highlighting not only their effort and determination, but also how polite and respectful they were throughout the day — something we are very proud of.
The future looks bright for these boys and for weightlifting at BYA… watch this space!
