Hello, my name is Miss Haynes.
I have worked at Bishop Young for many years. My main role at Bishop Young Academy is to ensure that your child feels happy, safe and comfortable so they are able to make progress both socially and academically. I want them to feel like school is their “home from home”. I am here for parents too and you can contact me if you need advice about any aspect of your child’s schooling. I can then liaise with other staff members and I can link you with the best person possible to answer any queries.
Each child is important and I will do my best to make their transition into secondary school the best it can possibly be. As well as taking your child’s wellbeing into consideration it is my responsibility to build a relationship with you as the parent or carers and help to ease any worries you may have about your child. I am here to help them with any issues, problems or concerns that they or you may have. They can come to me at any time if they need guidance or support with learning, anxiety’s or just to have a chat. I look forward to meeting all the new students and watch them grow into young men and women that we can all be proud of.
